Initially, the Hand Project was really difficult, but then (through a documentary) I discovered Jerry Uelsmann's central mission throughout his photography career. His philosophy can best be summed up with own words: "Constant creativity and innovation are essential to combat mediocrity." I kept this concept in mind throughout the whole project; it was especially relevant because even the method of exposure (cyanotype) was completely new. While observing the photographs, keep in mind the question: how can you employ "constant creativity and innovation in your arts, and what general lesson can you take from that mindset in general?
